e15 at Salone del Mobile and Euroluce 2017, 4 – 9 April

During Milan Design Week 2017, e15 introduces a series of distinct tables by Philipp Mainzer in presentations at Salone del Mobile and in its showroom in Via Tortona. The brand moreover debuts at Euroluce, exhibiting the e15 lighting collection.

Inspired by Suprematist compositions, table KAZIMIR by Philipp Mainzer features a bold mix of geometric forms and materials. Focussing on a distinct construction, the tabletop made from solid European oak or walnut rests on a centre base in powder-coated steel, allowing for various interpretations in private and public spaces. While at the e15 fair stand, KAZIMIR is shown with a solution for wire management, a ‘RAW’ version exposing the brushed natural edges of the tree is displayed in the brand’s showroom in Via Tortona.

Further exploring the interplay of solid wood and metal, TRUNK II is a one of a kind highlight in e15’s presentation at Salone del Mobile. Emphasising the fusion of architecture and craftsmanship, the 4100 MM long table top is made from a single European walnut trunk. The sculptural base of the table is manufactured from solid polished brass.

A lounge setting based on various modules of sofa KERMAN complements the presentation and celebrates e15’s distinct approach to colour compositions and materials. Since its launch in 2016, KERMAN by Philipp Mainzer and Farah Ebrahimi has been extended by additional modules, increasing the scope of application.

Also on display is product family ELBE by Eva Marguerre, Marcel Besau and Daniel Schöning, which was originally conceived for concert hall Elbphilharmonie by Herzog & de Meuron architects and is now available as part of the e15 collection. Building on simple geometric forms, the high table and side table with marble top as well as the bench with upholstered seat in Kvadrat’s fabric Basel are enduring pieces and are especially suited to the contract market.

e15 at Euroluce

At Euroluce, e15 presents its lighting collection which reflects the brand’s artistic point of view and bridges between residential and contract application. The fair stand in hall 13 is a platform for showcasing the range of floor, table, pendant and wall lights, which combine high grade materials with extraordinary craftsmanship. A brass version of wall light SEAM THREE will be on display for the first time.

An intriguing installation of three dozen NORTH lights emphasises the versatility of the light which is inspired by lunar phases. Another highlight is the display of pendant light SPAN which references contemporary art. Several lights in lengths of up to 3000 MM create the impression of an oversized abstract mobile which floats above solid wood table PONTE with concealed wire management. By showcasing different wire management options, e15 responds to a growing demand for office solutions.

Exhibition design by Philipp Mainzer

Reflecting e15’s consistent and progressive design language, PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN applied basic materials such as chip board and white dividing structures to create striking platforms for the presentation of e15 furniture, accessories and lighting. Incorporating the existing concrete floor, series of walls and sculptural elements unfold into spaces with intriguing architectural viewpoints.

The e15 fair stand features artwork by German contemporary artist Carsten Fock.
