In collaboration with Ilse Crawford from Studioilse and London-based Viaduct, e15 has developed the new signature seating for Cathay Pacific’s passenger lounges, starting with the lounge at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport.
The newly renovated Taipei lounge is the first of eight international lounges to feature the new SHIRAZ Solo Chair based on e15’s modular sofa SHIRAZ. Each custom-made unit features privacy partitions on either side and is equipped with a USB-plug as well as country-specific outlet, reading lamp and coat hook. Combining comfort and function, the SHIRAZ Solo Chair is a core element in the interior concept of Studioilse.
Cathay Pacific’s 1,253 sqm Taipei lounge provides seating for 245 guests and is the first location to adopt the airline’s new lounge design featuring an understated luxury based on natural materials as in refined textiles, solid wood, stone and precious metals. A careful approach to lighting is contrasted by strong visual statements such as bronze finished bars and ceramic green tiles, creating a clear distinction between individual sections within the lounge.
