Celebrating the 20th anniversary of e15’s first and iconic table BIGFOOT™, Andreas Murkudis debuts the BIGFOOT™Anniversary Edition in an exclusive exhibition in his retail and show space on Potsdamer Straße in Berlin.
Opening on 07 November, the exhibition will showcase the BIGFOOT™ Anniversary Edition with artwork by LA based artist Geoff McFetridge.
As part of the brand’s wider 20th anniversary in 2015, e15 collaborated with the LA based artist to create a limited edition BIGFOOT™ with laser etched figures covering the entire underside of the table. The artwork focuses on the table’s patron, the creature Bigfoot that people believe inhabits forests, mainly in the region of North America. A limited edition of 94 tables referring to the table’s year of design will be produced, with the first one being showcased at Andreas Murkudis in Berlin.
Designed by the company’s founder and architect Philipp Mainzer, today the solid wood table is the central point of reference for all other e15 tables. The table BIGFOOT™ characterises a radical new simplicity, establishing an indelible mark in the evolution of contemporary furniture design. Crafted in solid European oak, the table’s essential form, its corner detail and exposed legs highlighting the centre of the tree boldly lay bare all natural markings and characteristics, thus establishing a leading reputation for e15 and its pioneering use of solid wood in its purest form.
The exhibition of the BIGFOOT™ Anniversary Edition at Andreas Murkudis presents one of a series of the year’s anniversary highlights.
