For the seventh edition of Wallpaper* Handmade, dedicated to hospitality and travel, e15 realises two projects in collaboration with British architect David Chipperfield and Spanish designer Tomás Alonso. As part of the ‘Hotel Wallpaper*’ exhibition during Milan Design Week 2016, e15 introduces solid wood valet stand BUTLER and a multifunctional, flexible travel bag.
Crafted from American willow, BUTLER by David Chipperfield is a freestanding all-in-one solution, serving as a dressing table, chest of drawers and a valet stand. The modern interpretation of traditional hotel furniture features a luxurious material palette including brushed brass, light vegetable-tanned leather and Bianco Carrara marble. Prices and production times are available on request.
In a second project, Tomás Alonso together with e15 developed a multifunctional bag that can flexibly expand or reduce its volume. Foldable, lightweight technical nylon is combined with firm vegetable-tanned leather to create additional stability, resulting in a distinct material mix. Differently coloured handles lend a dynamic and modern visual appeal to the bag that, by the end of 2016 will be available as part of the e15 collection of accessories.
