At Salone del Mobile 2018, e15 debuts its latest collaboration with British architect David Chipperfield, and showcases products by Philipp Mainzer whilst focusing on new materials and finishes for the collection. The brand moreover presents a special installation together with Laila Gohar and David Chipperfield in its showroom in Via Tortona.

Basis by David Chipperfield
E15 continues its collaboration with David Chipperfield with the debut of trestle table BASIS; a refined and adaptable system of solid wood trestles and beams constructed with traditional joinery techniques. The simple and qualitative design showcases a broad range of materials and flexible solutions for living and working.
BASIS table tops are available separately. In addition to European walnut and solid oak in oiled or white-pigmented surfaces, new to the collection is brown coloured glass, offering a special contrast with the solid wood trestle base.
Lazlo by Philipp Mainzer
Inspired by Suprematist compositions, side table LAZLO is strongly connected to the design character of table KAZIMIR. Well-defined geometric forms emphasize distinct combinations of materials such as unfilled travertine, honed marble or solid wood surfaces in contrast with blackened steel or zinc galvanised steel frames. Available in various heights and dimensions the occasional tables ideally complement living room, foyer or office situations.
New Materials
With focus on the alchemy of basic materials, e15 introduces new metal finishes such as blackened steel or zinc galvanized steel for its table frames, honed and unfilled travertine stone as well as brown glass for new table surfaces in addition to fresh colour schemes in definitive tones that create new character with different textures and materials of the collection. Furthermore, modular sofa KERMAN by Philipp Mainzer and Farah Ebrahimi is now offered in aniline leather.

Consistent with e15’s simple and powerful presentation style, PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN establishes a diagonal principal for this year’s fair stand, combining an extensive white floor with skewed walls that open up to white spaces. Intriguing perspectives structure the visitor’s view on e15 furniture, lighting and accessories.
Sobremesa – an installation with Leila Gohar and David Chipperfield
During Milan design week, e15 presents a special installation in collaboration with food designer Laila Gohar and architect David Chipperfield, curated by e15 art director Farah Ebrahimi.
Highlighting the ritual of sharing and the art of conversation after a meal, SOBREMESA is a still life of meaningful objects and materials for living and working. Referring to the Spanish term, SOBREMESA is a metaphoric dialogue of personal items that focus on celebrating creativity and quality over the blunt display of wealth and status.
