David Thulstrup is a Danish architect and designer. He creates simple, well-crafted pieces that are distinctive in their form but work harmoniously in the overall space. The focus on the honest use of materials and clarity of purpose is paramount. Thulstrup has completed an extensive international portfolio ranging from residential architecture to restaurants, retail, hotels, furniture and lighting. His Noma restaurant interior won multiple awards for its elegant mix of craft and comfort and strong sense of place. Before founding his studio in Copenhagen in 2009, David worked for Jean Nouvel in Paris and Peter Marino in New York.

Bar stool TANK

TANK is David Thulstrup’s first design for e15. Its bold silhouette communicates an elegant fusion of function and mono-materiality. Available in two heights and made from solid European oak, TANK’s architectural form illustrates a modern view on the classical typology of bar stools.

In 2019, David Thulstrup designed the custom made stool TANK in collaboration with e15 for the Gasoline Grill restaurant in Copenhagen. The sculptural profile of the stool made of solid European oak blends in with the minimalist environment.

TORE is a series of sculptural side tables designed by David Thulstrup. Highlighting monomateriality, TORE is crafted in marble or solid wood in various finishes and dimensions. TORE can be arranged into expressive architectural landscapes, signifying refined geometric forms in the spirit of Art Deco.
