Floor light COLOUR by Scandinavian designers Daniel Rybakken and Andreas Engesvik has been chosen for the 5th edition of the museum’s popular contemporary design exhibition ‘Beauty – Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial’. The show presents selected pieces from the international design scene, exploring beauty through seven different lenses: extravagant, intricate, ethereal, transgressive, emergent, elemental and transformative.
Featured in the ‘elemental’ sphere of the exhibition, floor light COLOUR consists of two slabs of solid coloured glass in pink and blue, open to individual compostion. Inspired by natural changing light sceneries, minimalism and architecture illustrate the essence of the light, expanding the field of sculpture and light.
