As part of the exhibition “bikes and more” on the interplay of art and design at the gallery Martina Detterer in Frankfurt, the side table ENOKI by Philipp Mainzer is being showcased amongst works by other artists and designers.
The interdisciplinary exhibition broaches the issue of the abolishment of traditional dividing lines between purposeless art and the design of useful commodities. With works by, amongst others, Olaf Barski, Thomas Bayrle, Valentin Beinroth, Fixiestube, Philipp Mainzer and Antonia Henschel, this interdisciplinary exhibition strikingly guides the view onto the common ground of art and design: imaginative creativity and innovative originality of form.
