e15 collaborated with Copenhagen-based design- and architecture studio Spacon & X to design an exclusive range of furniture for POPL – a new restaurant within the noma family in Copenhagen. We teamed up to create a collection of custom-made pieces, ranging from chairs, stools, coat hangers, and different types of tables.
Housed inside a former warehouse, POPL’s design combines industrial elements with soft textures and surfaces. The main material palette consists of naturally oiled brown core ash wood and serves as a material reference to the restaurant’s dedication to environmental consideration.
The different pieces illustrate simplicity in their archetypal structures. The main material is solid brown core ash, a strong hardwood with a beautiful grain and colour. Reflecting traditional craftsmanship, the construction is based on established joinery methods, providing lasting quality. The tabletops are sealed with Richlite, a special ecological product made from recycled paper and bio resin.
A selection of the custom-made pieces was later added to the e15 collection, called GAMAR.
