In collaboration with Aesop, e15 partner office PHILIPP MAINZER OFFICE FOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN has realised the interior design of Aesop’s new signature store in Frankfurt am Main. For Aesop’s fifth store in Germany, which opened in June 2015, key pieces of the e15 collection have been specified.
Inspired by the forest green of the German landscape and well crafted natural materials such as solid walnut and raw brass, a stimulating and authentic environment exploring Frankfurt’s modernist roots and cultural heritage was created to present Aesop’s superlative products. Items of the Ferdinand Kramer® Collection of re-editions by e15 reference the historic background. Cypress green mohair lounge chair WEISSENHOF, solid walnut and natural leather stool AS WAN and chair KARNAK bring warmth and comfort to the place, consequently continuing the interior design concept. In combination with functional yet sculptural lighting, a simple and powerful installation has been set within the space.
Aesop is a renowned manufacturer of high quality body care products and was established in Melbourne in 1987. Strongly engaged in local culture, Aesop has offices and stores in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong amongst others.
