Ferdinand Kramer-Reeditions at Museum Applied Arts, Frankfurt

From February 6, 2014, the Museum Applied Arts Frankfurt presents the comprehensive Ferdinand Kramer retrospective “The Kramer Principle. Design for Variable Use”, where also products of the e15 Ferdinand Kramer-Collection® of re-editions are on show.

Already in 2012, e15 launched a distinct collection of re-editions by the renowned modernist architect and designer, and thus demonstrated the timeliness and relevance of Kramer’s designs. Having worked closely with Ferdinand Kramer’s family and the archives, the collection includes twelve iconic designs from several of Kramer’s creative periods from 1925 to 1959.

On the basis of numerous originals as well as a selection of e15 re-editions the exhibition at Museum Applied Arts Frankfurt sets emphasis on Kramer’s importance and though pays attention to Ferdinand Kramer as a designer as well as his groundbreaking developments regarding flexible furniture.
